Treatment of acanthamoeba keratitis
Chlorhexidine
Chlorhexidine gluconate 0.02% eye drops
As per specialist.
Propamidine
Propamidine 0.1% eye drops
As per specialist.
Prescribing Notes:
- The only chlorhexidine strength to be used in acanthamoeba keratitis is the 0.02% strength.
- Treatment duration is dependent on the clinical condition of the patient, and management should be under specialist care.
