Prescribing Notes:
- Hydroxycarbamide and anagrelide are used for reduction of elevated platelet counts in ‘at risk’ patients with essential thrombocythaemia.
- In NHS Lothian refer to Shared Care Agreement hydroxycarbamide for Myeloproliferative neoplasms including essential thrombocythaemia, polycythaemia vera, myelofibrosis and chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia.
